With this volume, the second in the series but the first to be published, an idea that was born at the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Zoo comes to light, when the author met with Prof. Noel Kempff Mercado. It is a study of almost twenty years of exploration in the Amboró National Park and its surroundings, as well as other parts of the country, and with numerous botanical collections. There are 41 color photographs and 148 drawings of flora species that allow easy identification of the species.
